I first met Rochelle when I photographed her son Max. We kept in touch after that and I was thrilled when she contacted me to photograph her wedding to Paul in June.

The wedding took place at Hylands House in Chelmsford from the bridal preps to the ceremony and wedding breakfast. There was plenty of open space areas for children to run free.

With 10 ushers, 4 best men, 5 page boys, 4 bridesmaids and a flower girl the wedding party was certainly larger than usual yet the day plans went like clockwork. I found the day went without a rush, from the ceremony to the gathering of guest for the confetti throwing and to the group shots, they all succeeded one another easily. Despite some ‘foot related issues’ from both the groom and my assistant extraordinaire (whose toes seem to have morphed into one big massive angry foot), we managed to hop our way to the secret garden of the park for our bride and groom portraits. Rochelle and Paul still had plenty of time to mingle with guests on the lawn before heading to the marquee for the sit down meal.

With such a large wedding party of close friends and colourful characters we guessed that the boys had prepared some speech with meaty content and juicy details – they certainly didn’t disappoint. It is obvious that Rochelle and Paul have very loving families and lot of long term solid friendships.
